Short Documentary Pieces

As we discussed in class this week, our next documentary project will be a short 5 to 9-minute documentary piece crafted in the style of either CBS' 60-Minutes or HBO's Real Sports. Either style tells the story through a narrative in the expository style of documentary. Please review the examples below and then work with your partner to craft the outline for your topic and next documentary project on Google Classroom

Mini Documentary Examples

Project 2: Mini Documentary (60 Minutes / Real Sports Style)

In your selected groups you will demonstrate your understanding and ability to create a short expository documentary (5 to 9 minutes in length) in the style of "60 Minutes" or "Real Sports." Your group will create a documentary that demonstrates these skills (basic camera shots, story telling, interviewing, and editing) that we have been cultivating throughout the first term.

I will review each team's scripts, footage, and final product assigning grades based on proper execution of each step in the process and quality of the team's work. Production schedule and rubric grading format are posted below and on Google Classroom.
