Project 1: Demonstrate Basic Camera Shots
In your assigned groups you will use our cameras and tripods to demonstrate your understanding and ability to operate the cameras to successfully capture examples of the 7 Basic Camera Shots we learned about above. Using the cameras you will fulfill the following shot sheet by capturing (2) different, :10 second segments of footage meeting the specifications of each shot. Students will announce the name of the shot using the camera's built-in microphone, all other sound will be naturally occurring. Each team member will take turns serving as both the on-camera subject and camera operator.

2. Long Shot
3. Medium Shot
4. Close Up
5. Extreme Close Up
6. Panning Shot

Upon successful capturing of all shots, students will return to Edit Lab and download footage to a folder on the editing computers' portable hard drive. I will review each team's footage and assign a grade based on proper execution and quality of the team's work.
